Sailing After COllege
The majority of surveyed UT Sailing Team Alumni indicated that they have continued sailing in one way or another after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin. Some sail casually, some coach sailing, some are teaching their children how to sail, and some have remained very active competitors in the sailing community; a couple of our sailors have even sailed in the Olympics! The UT Sailing Team is proud of all of its alumni and the many accomplishments they have achieved.
Most notably, sailors from the UT Sailing Team have gone on to win three Olympic silver medals, one Olympic gold medal, twenty US Sailing Association Championship first place finishes, and one Whitbread Round the World Challenge first place finish. Additionally, six past members of the UT Sailing Team have gone on to compete in America’s Cup Challenges.
