Join us for a Halloween mock regatta (there will be a prize for first place), plus lunch! Costumes are encouraged! (Although please note that if you plan on wearing it while sailing, it may get wet.)

This event has a maximum capacity of 30 attendees in order to maximize social distancing. COVID-19 safety precautions will be taken, including requiring everyone to wear masks at all times, including while on Austin Yacht Club property and the docks, and social distancing will be enforced as much as possible. Boats are sprayed down with cleaner daily. Attendees will only directly interact with the one person they are sailing with, which, whenever possible, will be someone they see outside of practice anyway. Temperatures of all participants will be taken upon arrival at AYC, and all participants are required to complete a symptom survey in the "Protect Texas Together" app and obtain a "Campus Access Pass" before being allowed to participate in the event.

Lunch will be sandwiches, chips, and fruit, and will be served by one person wearing gloves and a mask. Individuals will be given paper plates and will be served rather than taking food themselves. This will occur on an island off of AYC property to minimize interaction and allow for social distancing. Food will be brought to the island by Coach Jeff on his rib.
